The Finnish basic income experiment is coming to an end. A recently launched evaluation study is now looking at the income, employment and wellbeing effects of receiving a basic income. Results will become available during 2019 and 2020.
The Finnish basic income experiment continues to attract interest around the world. Similar trials are being planned and implemented also in other countries. The Finnish experiment is exceptional, not least because it moved from plan to implementation in record time.
Analysis of effects will begin after the experiment concludes at the end of 2018.
